At Central Coast United, we believe player development shouldn't stop when the winter football season finishes.

Around the world, many of the strongest football development environments operate throughout the entire year, providing players with additional opportunities to learn, compete and improve. Futsal plays an important role in that process and has become a key component of our football philosophy.

Through our Football NSW Premier Futsal Program, we provide players with the opportunity to continue developing during the summer period while competing in the highest level of futsal competition in New South Wales.

What is Futsal?

Futsal is a fast-paced, small-sided version of football played on a hard court with a smaller, low-bounce ball.

The game places players in more situations where they must think quickly, solve problems under pressure and make technical decisions in tight spaces.

With fewer players on the court and more involvement in the game, players naturally receive more touches on the ball and more opportunities to influence play.

Around the world, elite football environments rarely operate for just one season of the year. Players continue developing through different forms of the game, gaining additional training, competition and learning opportunities.

At Central Coast United, our aim is to replicate that approach as closely as possible. Through Football NSW representative football, Football NSW Premier Futsal, Soccer5s summer competitions and additional development programs, we are building a year-round environment that provides ambitious players with more opportunities to improve and compete.

Working within the Football Australia and Football NSW pathway framework, the Football NSW Premier Futsal competition represents the highest level of futsal in New South Wales and provides players with another opportunity to challenge themselves in a high-performance environment.

Futsal is now a sport in its own right, with professional leagues, international competitions and national team pathways operating around the world. Alongside its value as a development tool for footballers, it also provides players with another pathway to compete and excel within the game.

Competing at the Highest Level

Central Coast United competes in the Football NSW Premier Futsal competition, the highest level of futsal in New South Wales.

The competition provides players with an opportunity to challenge themselves against some of the strongest futsal clubs and players in the state while continuing their football development in a high-performance environment.

Open to Players from All Clubs

Our futsal program welcomes players from across the Central Coast and beyond.

Players do not need to currently play for Central Coast United to participate in our futsal programs.

Whether you're a community player, representative player, academy player or simply someone looking to continue developing during the summer period, futsal provides another opportunity to learn, compete and enjoy the game.
