Achieve Your Football Dreams with The Official Football Australia Pathway!

Central Coast Mariners and Central Coast United Announce Official Partnership.

Central Coast Mariners and Central Coast United are strengthening their shared dedication to nurturing local football talent and ensuring a pathway for local stars to shine on the national and worldwide stage.

Central Coast Mariners have a reputation as one of the premier football academies, not only in Australia but also throughout Asia. Since its inception 6 years ago, Central Coast United has helped more than 100 players move across to the Central Coast Mariners Academy. This partnership signifies a commitment to nurturing and harnessing the best of local talent, as both clubs align their efforts to create a platform for excellence within the Central Coast region.

Key Highlights of the Partnership:

Strengthening the Feeder Club Commitment: Central Coast United will continue to serve as the official feeder club to Central Coast Mariners, bridging the gap for aspiring players between grassroots and elite football.

Improving Players' Journeys: The partnership aims to create an environment where players who narrowly miss out on Central Coast Mariners' selection have a dedicated platform to continue improving their skills. This ensures that every player, regardless of their journey, has a place to improve and to be monitored yearly by CCM.

A Unified Approach: With both clubs invested in the player's success, the partnership strengthens the commitment to local talent. This means players will enjoy the combined support of two dedicated clubs. The partnership between Central Coast Mariners and Central Coast United signifies a special moment for football development on the Central Coast.

Central Coast Mariners Sporting Director Matt Simon is excited by the partnership ahead of the 2024 Academy season.

“The Central Coast Mariners are committed to creating a pathway for all kids on the Central Coast and are proud to reaffirm this with a formal partnership with Central Coast United,” he said. “This partnership will enable all kids on the Coast to have a clear pathway to the Mariners Academy and this has been proven over the years to be one of the best pathway relationships in the country.”

Central Coast United General Manager Matt Crowell is pleased to have an official partnership with Central Coast Mariners, seeing the decision as one that will benefit all of the Central Coast footballing community.

"We are delighted to formally announce a partnership with the Central Coast Mariners. To have a professional football club in our region where local boys and girls have an opportunity to become professional footballers is incredibly special,” Crowell said. “For us to give our players this pathway to potentially reach the very top is something we support one hundred percent. Between CCM, CCU, Central Coast Sports College, CCF, and all the local clubs, I think football on the Coast is in a great place."

From U9s to U18s CCMA and CCU will be conducting joint open trials, resulting in one of three possible pathways:

  1. Central Coast Mariners Academy

  2. Central Coast United
